Thanksgiving Break (Nov 20-29), Winter Break (Jan 6-16), Summer Break (May 16-26)

Build meaningful relationships while experiencing the rich culture of the Dominican Republic through a partnership with the Community Service Alliance. Participants will work alongside local leaders and residents on community-driven initiatives that may include constructing hand-washing stations and water tanks, supporting educational workshops, and supporting youth entrepreneurship efforts. By serving alongside community members and engaging in nightly reflections and cultural immersion, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for sustainable partnerships, community development, and the importance of learning from those you serve. This experience offers the opportunity to broaden your perspective, strengthen cross-cultural connections, and grow as an active citizen.

Winter Break (Jan 9-16)

Discover how Louisiana's wetlands shape both the environment and the communities that call the Gulf Coast home. Participants will partner with Further Along, local environmental experts, and community organizations on projects that may include wetland restoration, planting cypress trees and native vegetation, habitat restoration, erosion mitigation, invasive species and debris removal, and supporting local nonprofits in the New Orleans area. Educational experiences and guided reflection will deepen your understanding of coastal land loss, environmental resilience, and the cultural heritage that makes Southeast Louisiana unique. Come ready to explore, serve, and learn how communities are working together to protect both their environment and their way of life.

Winter Break (Jan 9-16)

Gain a deeper understanding of homelessness, poverty, and the justice system while partnering with organizations throughout Columbia, South Carolina. Participants will serve alongside The Rainy Day Fund, the Richland County Public Defender's Office, and other local partners through activities that may include supporting outreach efforts for individuals experiencing homelessness, volunteering with local food kitchens and shelters, and assisting with code enforcement projects. The group will also have the opportunity to observe court proceedings and interact with public defenders. Throughout the week, service, reflection, and dialogue will encourage participants to examine the systemic factors that contribute to housing insecurity and poverty while exploring community-based approaches to advocacy and support. If you're interested in social justice, public service, and creating meaningful community impact, this trip is for you.

Spring Break (Mar 6-13)

Spend your week restoring trails, protecting wildlife habitats, and supporting resilient mountain communities in the mountains of western North Carolina with Conserving Carolina. Participants will work alongside conservation professionals and community partners on projects that may include trail construction and maintenance, habitat restoration, invasive species removal, and ongoing recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. Service, group reflection, and educational experiences will provide insight into land conservation, sustainable recreation, and the vital role healthy ecosystems play in supporting thriving communities. This trip is best suited for participants who enjoy spending time outdoors, as projects may involve hiking on uneven terrain, working outside for extended periods, and light to moderate lifting. Join us in protecting natural spaces while learning from the people dedicated to preserving them.

Spring Break (Mar 6-13)

Help preserve one of Virginia's treasured state parks while gaining an inside look at the work that keeps public lands accessible for everyone. Participants will collaborate with Virginia State Parks staff on stewardship projects that may include trail construction and maintenance, infrastructure restoration, and other conservation initiatives that enhance the park for future visitors. Through hands-on service, conversations with park professionals, and guided reflection, you'll explore the importance of public land management, outdoor recreation, and conservation in protecting Virginia's natural and cultural resources. This trip is ideal for participants who enjoy working outdoors, as service may involve hiking on uneven terrain, extended time outside, and light to moderate lifting. Come ready to serve, learn, and help care for the places that connect people with nature.

Spring Break (Mar 6-13)

In partnership with the Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth, and Reconciliation, participants will engage in community-driven service and educational experiences that promote nonviolence, racial equity, restorative justice, and community healing. Throughout the week, you'll learn from civil rights leaders, participate in meaningful dialogue and reflection, and deepen your understanding of Selma's history and its lasting impact on movements for social change. This immersive experience invites participants to connect the lessons of the past with today's efforts to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
