The Lil’ Big Event
HS&T Campus Annual Day of Service - April 5, 2025
In alignment with The Big Event at Virginia Tech, the HS&T campus invites all students, faculty, staff, and partners to participate in a day of service to give back to the Roanoke community. Rooted in the Virginia Tech motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve), this event offers a chance to come together, make an impact, and express our gratitude to the local community.
How You Can Participate
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, we’ll engage in community service projects in the Roanoke area as part of both The Big Event and Clean Valley Day Cleanup, another city-wide initiative focused on sustainability and beautification efforts.
We are organizing 4-5 service projects in the Roanoke region for our community to join. Projects will include opportunities for individuals and groups to participate in hands-on service while meeting others in our VT community.
This event is open to:
- Virginia Tech undergraduate and graduate students.
- Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine students, residents, faculty, and staff.
- VT faculty and staff based at the HS&T campus.
- Carilion Clinic partners.
- Vet Med Animal Cancer Center trainees and staff.
- Virginia Tech Alumni.
